Photo Fridays...

So maybe I'm getting a little lazy, who knows?  But, I've decided that Fridays seem like a good time to post a few random pics (either new or old) from now on:-)

Enjoy!

A lovely walk on the beach...

Yesterday, I took Jim and Kathy, who live on a trawler and stopped for a 1 day visit that has turned into a week (thanks for sticking around guys!), to the beach to look for sea glass.  The hunt was rather disappointing with only 5 small pieces and a few shells.  I went to this beach a few months ago and let with over 30 pieces, so I wasn't pleased with our hunt~lol  However, as a wise man once said, a bad day on the walking the beach is better than a good day at work.  We did have a wonderful time and enjoyed the scenery.

These photos are from a previous trip to the same beach when there was a little more to see...

Photo update...

Woke up to a chilly, windy day today.  Since I couldn't "convince" myself that it was actually 6:30 AM instead of 7:30 AM, I got up and started my day.

Just returned from a quick trip to WalMart and this is the tree towards the aft section of the boat.  Notice the Osprey in the photo.  He's usually on the top of the mast of the boat anchored out behind us, but he's moved for the day.  There's lots of white birds (I'm not sure what kind they are), but as you can see in the later photos, they were all joined by a cute little wood pecker perched just above the Osprey.

All the birds that are normally in the salt marsh are perched in the tree

This view shows the Osprey perched with the others.

Good shot of the Osprey.

Lunch at Hurricane Patty's...

Today Pam (my neighbor) and I took a walk down C Dock and the smell of burger's was wafting in the air from the direction of Hurricane Patty's.  Being as it was noon, both of our stomach's started to rumble~lol  Time to finally try out the marina restaurant.

Today's lunch specials were either the chicken sandwich or the fish and chips.  I opted for the fish and chips and Pam went for the "piggy burger".  Now, it's not exactly called a piggy burger on the menu, but that's what I'm calling it~lol  It was a burger with ham and bacon and looked SO good.  I almost (notice I say almost) regretted ordering the fish and chips until my first bite of fish.  Talk about good!

Thankfully, I had my camera along, so not only did I snap a photo of what we ate, but I also snapped a few photos of the rather interesting decor and the birds that begged for food on the balcony.  One is so tame, he came right up and ate out of my hand~lol
